I was confounded when many in my accelerator batch were using Lovable to string up demos when Claude Code would have done the same with much better controls. Thing is terminals, repos dont appeal to most. Most founders in these acce

The reason it doesn't make any sense to you is you're still arguing against a criterion I never proposed. You haven't established why Sony making its own app store the only app store on its subsidized Playstation hardware is

Does Playstation fall under DMA? If so, the DMA law is seriously flawed.

It is entirely possible that 5 years from now, there's >100x LLM inference going on - but demand for AI chips (including memory) is only 2x or less. I doubt it. If LLM inference efficiency is 50x better than today, then ther

Once again, you lost my in what you're actually trying to argue. All we care about here is performance for the CPU, performance per watt, and performance per die area.

Any existing law that prevents this should be repealed. Common sense needs to come back. That's my point.

I'm arguing that what Sony is doing isn't anticompetitive behavior at all. Period.

Sony sells the PS5 for $400 that can produce the graphics of a $1,500 - $2000 PC. In return, only Sony can have an app store in the Sony hardware. No! This business model is not allowed! Just yikes. Like I said, let's bring back some c

Playstation, Switch, Xbox, PC, Steam Machines, Steam Decks, iOS, Android, iPad, MacOS, VR headsets, GeForce Now, Luna. How many more choices do you need to allow Sony to exclusively sell their own software on their $400 MSRP hardware? Mobil

Sony is in a way worse position than Steam and Apple. Apple makes high margins on every iPhone sale. Steam doesn't even need to make hardware. Meanwhile, Sony sells Playstations at cost or at a loss historically.

You are drawing a line I'm not drawing. There is no magic cut off. My point is that cheap/subsidized hardware and a closed store is one viable business model. The other business model is expensive hardware and an open ecosystem, w

If locking out competition in your own platform breaks the law, then nearly no business is legal. Common sense needs to prevail.

Why not buy a PC if you want a fully unlocked hardware platform? You can install Linux on it or whatever is supported. No. What you actually want is a $400 console that sells at a loss or break even and has the graphics power of a $1,500 -

Sony's gaming business is tiny relative to iOS gaming business.

But they do sell hardware at very tiny margins and have to rely on software sales to keep the business going.
18. 258.▲
    by aurareturn 2mo ago

No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying that the business of gaming consoles is to not make money on the hardware or even make a loss in hopes of making money on software. There are gaming businesses that make a profit on hardware suc

Yes. People keep thinking that Chinese models are free or near free for some reason. In reality, they're raising prices too. I was looking at Kimi K3 prices on OpenRouter and it's nearly the same as Anthropic and OpenAI.

You can never fully isolate CPU power. Even software reading of CPU power is not always accurate. The most accurate is reading from the wall. Thats what Notebookcheck does. For all intents and purposes, it is good enough to get a read on CP

Notebookcheck always isolates CPU power by measuring idle and draw from the wall. Many top quality CPU reviewers also do this. Chinese reviewer Geekerwan is probably the best at it. In the past, written reviews like Anandtech will always do

iOS 15 will be 6 years old in 2027. The oldest iPhone that supports iOS 15 is the iPhone 6s, released in 2015. I think this is fair.

That's why you're not a serious reviewer. If you're serious, you wouldn't mislead people. Even your blog post does not tell the truth nor does it have highlights of benchmarks that represent how people will actually use
