I support this. Although a journal may not accept that kind of work, you can still publish it in your blog.

There are so many things I like about this little device: - The promotional video is funny, it shows all the potential of the device. - The character is adorable, I really like that angry dolphin (am I a joke to you?). - The device

You can check Géron's book to know more about data preparation, specifically the second chapter. This chapter details an end-to-end machine learning project (price prediction). Here, the author describes scikit learn's pipelines f

It seems awesome! In addition to the GUI, both the database editor and the test runner are great features for the command line.

I have Deep Learning with Python (Chollet, first edition) and Hands-On Machine Learning (Géron, first edition). Both books are highly recommended. Introduction to Statistical Learning is also available for free online: http://fac

Totally agree. The first example was clear and intuitive, but I was lost when the author outlined the idea of blocks indexing blocks indexing values. Maybe an additional example could clearify this subject, improving considerably the qualit

I really like those covers. The new ones, well, they are not as good as the old ones, though. I prefer the black-and-white animal drawing theme instead of a 3D-colorized animal on the cover.

Great post, although I would like to know his approach for handling the last case. There is a related post: "Cleaner, more elegant, and harder to recognize" https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20050114-

Is the notebook available in github? I would like to review the code of plots and animations. The post and links is awesome.

I feel the same. Recently, I updated Spark just for the dark theme option. I don't mind the short introduction of new features. However, I hate when the app dramatically changes, as Spark did. Now, the UI of this version is significant

Can you elaborate your answer? I wonder how the second approach works, a link to an implementation would be helpful.

How can I determine whether a function can be pickled? A few months ago, I developed a concurrent system using ProcessPoolExecutor. In that case, the function made use of numpy, scipy, and some instaces of classes. I worked as expected, but

I am attached to Ubuntu because of apt, my development stack (python, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, and so on), and i3 as window manager. I would like to give it a try, but I am not sure if these applications are available in OpenBSD.

This project seems interesting. I usually use a 4x4 grid on i3. I wonder if your pluggin can handle this kind of grid. From the pictures, it seems like new windows are arranged vertically only, as columns.

Actually, i3 is one of the main reasons I use Ubuntu on my daily basis (the other one is apt). As far as known there are other applications similiar to i3 for MacOS, but they are not as good as i3. So sad.

I visited dell.com after reading the article, but it seems that the XPS 13 Developer Edition (DE) is not available anymore, so did they stop selling them? Of course, the XPS 13 (both 2018 and 2019 edition) is available, but the DE edition i

I enjoyed the post. I am not familiar with the website, but from the examples in the post, it seems that only the x-axis is labeled. It can be hard to understand the meaning of a plot when only one axis is labeled.
