I bought a Nexus One a few days ago. I suspect many would feel sorry for me, but don't worry, I'm just fine. Google will continue to improve the OS, and I'm sure the device will get better and better in the years to come.

The article is almost impossible to read on an iPad, since Safari scales all web pages by default. The very first example is just a gray blurb, which is ironic since the article explains how that image becomes a gray blurb when scaled incor

I would like to see the usable GUI supporting all semantics from the text interface. Writing Lilypond notation compares to writing software, and we all know why programming is largely done with text and not with GUIs.

Fun fact: in Compiz, the Spotify window doesn't wobble like other windows, with wobbly windows enabled. I wonder how they managed to create windows like that, since all other windows on my systems are wobbly. Even VirtualBox running Windows

Whenever I (atheist) meet religious people and start nerd raging, I remind myself of the following: The world makes equally amounts of sense for a religious person as it does to an atheist. It's easy to dismiss religion when you're an athei

Use JsTestDriver to write and run your tests. One of my pet projects is open source and tested with JsTestDriver [1], that should be a good starting point for learning more about how to test JavaScript in webapps. I also like to use Sinon [

Agreed. I wonder if it's cosmetic or if you can't actually require files in the same directory as __FILE__ via the load path. Then again, this will probably only break snippets outside of projects, where lib/ is in the load path.

Why was this downvoted? It's a great book, and it's on topic. There should be a law against downvoting without giving a reason :)

Personally, I use screenshots alone to judge the app, or product, or program, or whatever. It reminds me of IRC: people tend to abstractly explain and talk about their code, rather than just pasting the code itself. Same thing with screensh
