Yeah same. I've found there are a handful of games that are fun to watch rather than play. League of Legends and MOBA games for instance are super freaking boring for me to play because I suck at killing creeps (too tedious for me) but

I also love open offices but I do find it heavily depends on who you sit around with. I'm pretty fortunate because everyone prefers deep work and if they do want to chat we just do it over Slack even if we're right next to each ot

Yup I believe they announced this at Google I/O Keynote this year actually -- they mentioned that while it might not be enough with just the audio, looking at mouth gestures can give AI enough to know what might be said by whom. https

I've dug through their minified files and from what I can tell other than dependencies they use i.e. Backbone, underscore, jQuery, bootstrap, D3, etc I believe a lot of it is custom coded. It's truly incredible.

They might have done it because existing people weren't doing it and it would have introduced a breaking change potentially. Not making an excuse for them though. They should have done that.

To be fair, he said he was interested in it and not necessarily it was a solution. Still though, he does make it sound like "Oh hey there are all these problems... but this one, the newest of em all, seems to be interesting" lol
