1Mb vs 1Gb vs 1Tb distinction is a function of information contained in data. If its PII even 1Mb is an orginizational headache from security/risk-management perspective. Also most commodity compute nodes have allocation around 16 Gb.

The author should spend some time delivering solutions to "real problems". It's easy to be snarky while writing a blogpost with toy datasets but it's difficult to actually deliver production solution in an organization.

Perceptual hashing is useful for copy detection. Its not robust to changes/transformations nor do the hashes encode any semantic information.

On Android you can Sideload VPN apps, iOS on the otherhand banned them in China. Apple mounted the most successful attack on General Computing with it's walled garden. The whole Apple is good for privacy is marketing.

Umm that's a beautiful theoretical result no doubt. But in practice the choice of the "space" that determines the neighborhood, matters more than anything else on the top of that space. Also as another commenter pointed out t

Unless you are traveling in subway/Uber/Car-pool/commuter-rail and catching a quick nap. What does this have to do with AI. In fact having an alarm that randomly gets disbabled is Stupid design.

Artificial intelligence == ML/CV/NLP (not the AGI) will transform the world over the next two decades. People vastly underestimate importance of recent advances in detection/recognition/NLU tasks. Sure it sounds boring b

A CEO, CTO, CFO, CXO etc. are all "employees", technically an employee is someone who works for the company (unpaid work also counts) the company. E.g. You can have 100% equity, be sole shareholder, pay money to a manager/emp

"cofounder" is a legally meaningless SV term. There are three ways you can be associated with a company 1. Shareholder (anyone in the world, except few countries with sanctions) 2. On board of directors (varies from case to case)

I think the real concern is that there is nothing in PATENTS that restricts itself to software patents, if tomorrow say a University patents a new AR/VR Chip and Facebook/Oculus infringes on that patent there the PATENTS would aff

Certain algorithms/models are implemented in PyTorch or Caffe and typically it's huge amount of work to convert them to TensorFlow while ensuring correctness / Parity. Also I personally like design of PyTorch.
