You can achieve nearly the same thing by creating your Entities, generating migration from them with a single command, migrating your db with another one(or from code on startup) and returning them directly from Controller's method usi

I'm using Rider professionally and it's miles ahead of VS. Colleague of mine works on the same project using vscode without issues as well. You don't need Visual Studio for anything anymore...

The issue with /r/dotnet is that most people there are almost fanatics. A single bad word about MS or any topic of the month like MediatR gets you downvoted to oblivion. There's almost no real discussion there.

I did use Roslynator. It helps with clunkiness of VS and gives you some refactorings but it felt far from Rider. Roslynator also doesn't fix abysmal code autocompletion. Even after the 'AI autocompletion' that VS introduced l

RedwoodJS and Blitz try/tried to fill the missing gap with a bit different approaches each but I feel like at this point in JS world everything is considered 'niche' when compared to things like React or Next.js.

240k pln in Poland is a rather high-end senior pay. Also usually net on a b2b contract, so the actual salary would be around 170-180k(46k $) pln after taxes. Admittedly you can live a really decent life for this here.

The stuff you write doesn't have to be commited to GitHub(or am I missing something?) so this argument makes no sense. Copilot clearly scanned and autocompleted third party secrets, it's in no way acceptable behaviour.

I don't think JVM is what turns people off. It's a different paradigm. Every FP language is basically a niche these days even though you can hear great things about most of them(Elixir? Elm? Clojure? F#?). It's just that FP i
