I've never seen a person have such a frothing-at-the-mouth hate for any company as Fred Lambert at Elektrek has for Musk/Tesla. Just filter for his posts, it's kind of crazy. After a few posts I started noticing a while back.

yeah i'm wondering the same way... especially in light of the 20x debacle (where we found that 20x of Max vs 5x only applies to the 5hr limit, not the weekly limit, whereas OpenAI's 20x actually is 20x overall). Also Opus 5 has be

Not sure what’s there to apologize about. Canada can still call it Lake Ontario right? Or I wonder if it matters whether it’s on American soil or not whether international bodies recognize it?

I’ve concluded that if you already use a coding agent then openclaw adds very little (at least the multiple rounds I’ve tried it since mid Jan), it mainly brought the power of do-everything coding agents to your phone, available everywhere.

Honestly the most impressive thing to me was the first video where the guy switches between four languages.... I was like "is he AI?" - very impressive, sir!

After watching a video about how the filesystems are > 2x faster (and testing this myself in my mac mini vs a linux machine), I feel like Apple is leaving a lot on the table, and I hope that they get APFS to be as fast as the linux files

I just installed Omarchy yesterday wanting to try it out. Mainly dealing with not having a mouse for my second computer but maybe you gotta give it a few days as your main machine. But I prefer the sub pixel font rendering in macOS to the o

But this is essentially a solved problem even at utility scale, with renewables + battery banks, right? This isn't cutting edge stuff.

That's been my experience too. I left twitter a few years ago, but when I created a new account (only following AI and startups and people MAKING things, and movie and show clip accounts), it's been so awesome to keep track of all

Because even when the AI is really good at writing code, you still have to know what to ask it, how to direct it, have product taste, etc. Otherwise all of us would just be able to build bun via a prompt.

I used to listen to so many TwiT podcasts 10+ years ago. But then slowly lost interest and I don't remember why. But they used to be awesome. FLOSS weekly, Security Now, MacBreak Weekly, etc. But a few years ago, I found out there were

I still can't quite tell if the AI hate is being amplified by the media (like datacenter, water use, etc) to just find a boogeyman to sell ads/engagement. That's my theory because we just see constant waves of attempts to fin

Interesting. I will do more research on this, thanks. But at the end of the day, even though it's tough for us to see the PLA poop, etc from our prints (I still generally don't like it), my point is that hobbyist plastic waste is

The only comforting thing to me about the waste (apart from the fact that our personal 3d printer waste is a margin of error compared to industrial waste so honestly, just don’t worry about it), is that at least PLA is biodegradable.

Whole classes of bugs WERE fixed by moving to rust. wouldn’t that result in mass closures of classes of bugs that were no longer relevant in rust? What would you prefer?

It’s an awkward app and the whole interaction just feels weird and kind of slapdash. I think it is meant to be a prototype. But in this day and age it’s easy enough to at least write the iOS and Android versions. But maybe not dealing with

It’s made absolutely no negative difference, as we’ve seen in the real world in the last 60 days since the merge. I feel weird having to defend reality; reality being that it was merged nearly 2 months ago and tons of people have had their

More accuracy. Like others have said, homonyms (their, they're, there) is easier to determine once you have more context. So then you may need to go back a couple words and update them. Same with punctuation, you could determine that a
