This all comes off as pretty insecure. As a way to say "look, you might think we're not up to anything, but look at all the incremental stuff we're doing. Look how big we are." I can imagine Larry David pointing his fing

Who is the dominant market leader? OpenAI dwarfs Anthropic. Most people still haven’t heard of Anthropic/Claude. (For the record, I use Claude code all day long. But it’s still pretty niche outside of programming.)

Whatever their secret sauce is (model, system prompt, or harness), v0 creates some of the most beautiful designs and mockups when I ask it to. And it looks really polished. Even better than anything I’ve seen from Claude Code. So I use it a

And what's your point? When interests align, what's there to complain about? I'm not, nor have I ever been, a googler, btw. I did apply for a job there in 2006 but didn't make it past the first round (they were asking me

I'm a huge fan of Postico. It does the one thing I need (DB data exploration and editing) and does it well. What I really miss in DB Tooling is something like SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare from Red Gate. It used to work with SQL ser

Google has poured untold millions into open source over the last couple of decades, not just by sponsorships, but also by employing contributors, etc. I don't think that'll change with AI. They just needed to be reminded about the

Can't wait for this to land in MacWhisper. I like the idea of the streaming dictation especially when dictating long prompts to Claude Code.

I’ve said many times, I’d still pay even $1,000 a month for CC. But I’m a business owner so the calculus is different. But I don’t think they’ll raise prices uncontrollably because competition exists. Even just between OpenAI and Anthropic.

I fear the same thing but then people that know more about this say that these GLP-1 drugs have been used for many years (by diabetics) so they aren't untested or un-studied. Don't know how accurate that is, though.

Isn’t this easy to fix over time? Like ok, you issue one refund. But if Amazon sees the same users requesting too many refunds then it is a red flag?

But the AI companies will have a very good idea of this ratio. They have all the conversations. In fact, targeted research with this data could help do more research on how to convince more people to stay alive, right?

Yup our kids still play with MagnaTiles. We actually mainly bought the knock offs cuz they were 1/3 the price. Can’t quite tell much of a difference but maybe we just got lucky.

As someone who loves driving, I still use full self driving (FSD) on the Tesla all the time since I got a new model Y Juniper. And occasionally I switch to manual just because I enjoy it. So when you talk about limited operational scope, I

This is how I describe financial freedom. It’s not a particular number, it’s the freedom from thinking about money. And which number gets you there depends on your lifestyle. And taking a job without any consideration of pay.

Problem is that I think my Apple TV goes into some sort of deep idle mode where tailscale stops working. So it’s been effectively useless for me when I travel.

I have to imagine porn sites don’t want an underage audience either. So I think they would voluntarily state that their content is adult only. This isn’t rocket science. We’ve rated content for decades. We simply can’t be obtuse about this

When I read that the dude was asked to take $2b from reality labs and spend it on AI, I was shocked… that they were still spending $2b on virtual reality nonsense in 2025. That said, from what I understand, X is working on using grok to imp

Yep this is the first time I've disagreed with the EFF on anything civil liberties related. My view is that there's no reason why we can't come together and come up with a rating system for websites (through HTTP headers, the
