Ah thanks for sharing your memories, seems like computing was so much more expensive compared to now. I enjoy playing around with an old Mac Plus and a modern emulated HD20 drive. Eventually like to use it as a terminal, but really I just e

Yeah, I think the point of these devices is for locating lost items, not stolen items. Trying to handle the stolen use case but not allowing nefarious tracking seems to be at odds with each other.

You don't happen to have access to Aztec C for the classic 68k? I (and others) have been trying to track down a copy for some time. There appears to be one on Macintosh garden, but that is for ms-dos.

Interested to see what others display when opening a new terminal. I have a personally meaningful but somewhat embarrassing trite platitude followed by 3 random fortunes. A quote from my personal collection, a bit of advice from Kevin Kelly

I think Commando was also part of Macintosh Programmers Workshop, which another commenter here noted was kinda unixish (which I agree.) I’ve never used a tool like MPW, it’s text based, and you can install additional tools and write scripts

Rewatching the event video, it sounds recording spatial videos is supported on both 15 Pro models (time stamp ~1:17:30). I don't see anything on the compare iPhone models page though: https://www.apple.com/iphone/c

That you for sharing, it’s a very sweet story and heartwarming to hear how the two of you were able to come up with a solution where both people were satisfied.

In ear monitor, I believe. The "headphones" that some musicians use on stage to hear themselves. I have heard that you can get them custom made to fit your own ears for a perfect fit.

I've wondered, is the Mandelbrot set one continuous shape, or is broken into many smaller shapes? Put crudely, if it was imported into a paint program, and you performed a fill action, would the whole shape change to a single color?

Getting Vim to run on a Macintosh Plus with System 6 is actually a project I’m currently working on. The old Mac Vim binary versions 5.7 and 6.2 will only run on System 7 and up, and in my testing require a computer with color capabilities.
