I'm not sure the author of the article is familiar enough with Arrested Development to draw the analogy. Most agree that AD's problem was marketing, not product. If you're familiar with the series, you know the story wasn't overtold. If any

I'm hoping Amazon will have a pretty good hook. I want to be excited to buy one. However, the kindle book offering is not enough. I love the kindle, but the kindle app is already fantastic on the iPad. So I don't need a new kindle tablet. G

Nice work Justin! I heard you mention this project on your last podcast and was looking forward to seeing it. I know there are a bunch of tools out there to better manage twitter, but this is the easiest at-a-glance view without any setup t

My biggest takeaway from Trello so far: make it easy to get started, understand, and share your product with others. With Trello, they've nailed this. Good things to study and copy.

Yes- audio is great for commute. But I can read the transcript in a fraction of the time. I do both depending on schedule, and like the option.

Does anyone have insight into why this approach is being adopted after so many years without change? You'd think if we were going to change anything, we'd at least make it harder for patent trolls to sit on filings without actually having b

The one thing that prevents me from replacing my 13" MBPro with a new MBA is the 4Gb memory limit. I know it's only a matter of time before they up it to 8. When they do...I'm sold.

I think jonpaul is exactly right with his response to the famous Ford quote. Perhaps the customer's imagination is limited, but they know the pain points well. If you're listening carefully, you could figure out the solution. Unfortunately,

I don't know why this was so much fun. More engaging and challenging than a casual flash game. Here's my digital counter: http://i.imgur.com/gYoHb.png . Now I'm wondering how I can convince my daughter it's a game :)

I'm fascinated by the way physicists are able to blend experimental data with theory to explain what that little dot probably means. Makes me think of some guy like Feynman sitting in a room with others thinking up and arguing over accreti

Don't worry if you get 'filtered' out at any step along the way. You'll learn something new that will prepare you for your next attempt. Learning is progress and you'll probably be able to push through to the next barrier. Just keep going a

This post reminded me of the early days. There was a time when all you had to do to get Michael to review your app was to add it to delicious with a tag he watched for. He reviewed my web2.0, vertical search, Google map mashup (so 2005!). I

Great link on app dev/design process from the post: http://37signals.com/svn/posts/2608-ryans-talk-at-future-of-... Working on some UI improvements and wanted to bring some structure to my process. Still working on it, but this helps.

If they are being bought out, seems like a sloppy way to handle the communication. At a minimum it's confusing to existing users, which I assume Salesforce would like to keep.

I was never able to listen to music while coding until someone here on HN suggested creating an Abakus channel on Pandora. Now it's Pavlovian, and I find I'm able to get into flow sooner. Even if it's psychological, I'll take it.
