This is honestly a bafflingly ignorant comment. The British royalty are responsible for reprehensible acts against humanity. To pretend as if the queen is no different than any other person undermimes centuries of oppression by the British

Same! I have an email that contains a common female name (even though the actual email doesn't have anything to do with that name) and I constantly get emails of someone trying to setup accounts for various services /shrug

Can you elaborate on why HTTP APIs cannot be REST APIs? I know a lot of http services are misclassified as REST, but why can they by definition not be?

Dev.to has become littered with articles regurgitating popular project's documentation examples, unfortunately. Medium has this problem to an extent, but discoverability on dev.to has become increasingly difficult due to low effort spa

"He mentioned the head of the project doesn't know I exist" This makes me wonder if maybe you working remotely isn't exactly kosher and your boss is covering his and your behinds until you are in the office.

I don't see the link between poetry and direnv? Poetry is about solving python's dependency issues, direnv doesn't seem to have anything to do with that

Exactly. This is probably a $300 actual cost item they have to charge 5x for to pay for all the supporting infrastructure and software engineers

It is mind blowing that this is something people are willing to accept. The feature is there, the ecological damage is done already by including those extra resources, and you've paid for the vehicle but don't actually own its cap

I'll throw in my anecdote. I was suffering from hand tremors that had no obvious root cause. It was getting bad enough I was starting to spill drinks while holding (relatively) heavy glasses. Saw a doctor and got screened for all the p

I don't think the 2nd UX was in any way less "straightforward" For an app that is heavily reliant on geographical location, showing things on a map is way more intuitive than just showing whatever random location was last rev

I will preface this with the caveat that the advice I am giving is easier said than done. Take vacation. Even if it feels like it will hurt the team, the real thing hurting them (and you) is that there isn't a system of trust between e
