What’s your home server specs? I might want to host something like that too but I think I’d need to upgrade.

I think to parents at least to millennials, the idea of an MMORPG is just even more foreign than it is to parents to gen z or gen alpha. WoW was maybe not the first big title but it was the first that really put the genre into the mainstrea

Same in Germany. Happened fairly regularly when I had to come to the office every day that a road was blocked because they found a WW2 bomb when they dug new underground parking garages. Guess bombing civilians wasn’t a good idea. Sorry abo

That’s pretty common these days. Not n64 but the gaming market is dominated by a few new gems (Elden ring, Baldus Gate) some live service games like Fortnite and all timers like Minecraft and then people just keep playing old games. Like Sk

I've noticed a lot more ads for anti aging cosmetics aimed at men. When I was a teenager, it seemed like we'd move away from this for women. But what we got instead is making men obsessed with unrealistic beauty standards and snak

I think it's X11 stuff that is using Vulkan for rendering that is still flickering in 555. This probably affects pretty much all of Proton / Wine gaming.

I really hate async rust. It's really great that rust forces you on a compiler level to use mutexes but async is a disease that is spreading through your whole project and introduces a lot of complexity that I don't feel in C#, Py

That wording is not correct. Recommended speed is a mechanism that is employed in many countries (in the Netherlands you see it on highway exits). The only rules that apply on a highway without signs is a recommended speed of 130 km/h

Rule of thumb in Germany is that everything code related must be in English for the simple reason that should you hire people that are not speaking German, they will have a much harder type getting into the codebase. And that's for pro

I think the author is writing JavaScript which certainly helps. Some languages just have terrible support in Vim. C# was okay-ish, Java was annoying, Kotlin is almost non-existent. As soon as you either want tests or debuggers more integrat
