I still use Plex. I tried jellyfin for two weeks on my 30+ TB collection but there were so many little issues it wasn’t worth it Most features are actually plugins made by the community. This felt buggy and cheap. It was lacking a lot of st

That’s because JavaScript is an awful language and I just don’t understand why people keep insisting on using it for everything. It even infected infra as code.

That’s because it is easy to use. Maybe you use too much python or Java but go was designed to specifically allow people to memorize the entire syntax, truly. Want to make a function or variable or field public? Just capitalize it. That’s i

Ugh this again. If you have the source publicly available, it’s open source. I wish you guys would get over it! If people want to profit from this work they can pay for it.

SF is simply a failed city. Anyone who supports it right now is delusional from living there or has never actually been there. I was there many years ago and felt unsafe with the literal tent encampments on a normal street, human feces ever

That’s not true at all. Most of the random helpful searches I have done dig up comments that are months or years old. It’s basically like making a post asking a really obscure question and then just writing nvm figured it out. At the same t

I hope they do it. All that’s going to happen is every major sub will be overtaken by spam and the site will collapse. It will be absolutely hilarious.

You don’t need a place to go next. Nothing on Reddit or similar sites is a valuable use of time. Literally, nothing. Go touch grass, learn some skill, or build something.

I really really really hope the copilot and other suits are successful. The idea that you can literally steal content in the name of “””AI””” and profit off it is just insane! How is it not like copyright infringement? The Warhol case is

This was also my propofol experience. The doctor injected a tiny bit by accident before I had to sign a form and I felt so removed from consciousness it was weird. Then he pushed the rest and next instant of time I was in the recovery room
