This is also why you should never keep a horse living alone. He can't rely on his peers to stand watch while he's sleeping.

I want stuff enhanced _locally_. Would love to be able to stream 360p video and have 1080p equivalent quality, for when I'm just absently listening to what's happening. But sending a picture to the cloud, to get a bigger picture i

Forget sending the pictures I view to MS, what about the pictures my customers view? I work as a photographer half the time, and opted out of using lightroom and other cloud services because I don't want my images to land in the variou

I love python, but that's the reason I eventually decided to build my services in php instead. Hosting is dirt cheap, fixed cost, and it's just an rsync away from being deployed.

Oh, that would explain why some of my users suddenly can't access URLs that worked forever. I send those URLs through facebook messenger, which add its 'fbclickid' nonsense to them. I don't care for that tracking informa

It's really hard, maybe impossible to come up to a new place and instantly take a good shot. You need to stay there, move around, explore the space, the light, the interaction with the living. Eventually you find a good way to tell the

Yes, please be that guy. Or I'll do it. Vanilla Javascript refers indeed to "javascript without a framework". So creating a framework and calling it "vanilla javascript" is... wrong?

I must say, I never quite liked PHP as much as other environments, but I keep using it because it just gets the job done.

When I was a kid, my parents hated that I was passionate about "cheap mindless video games". Guess who's become a successful software engineer and happy human as a result? Don't dismiss what your kids are into because yo

I'd argue that you shouldn't turn a passion into your bread-winner. Because doing so will force you to degrade your passionate goals to mere everyday tasks, and that'll ultimately ruin your passion.

What kind of usage do you do with your pointer? I find that with code editing, it's annoying to pick up / put down the stylus all the time. Have you tried a vertical mouse? That is the best for me: comfortable, yet mouse-y :)
