What is so wrong about properly indenting your code that you feel it's necessary to add {} to make it better?

Ooh that could come in handy, it also has links to other useful projects! Thanks a lot!

If I'm using WeTransfer, you can bet I tried Google drive and dropbox...

Yes, it has come to that in some cases. I've delivered a bunch of HDD's with my car.

Yes, sending it is easy. But on the other side, whatever software my customers are using tends to break the links. I've had that with both mail clients and messenger. Call it antivirus protections, "you're leaving our website

Just yesterday that link was broken by a (microsoft) mail client.

Yes, but then you have to send the link, and it's also a huge mess.

I know, but even sending a link is not that straightforward in my experience.

I have that header. Yet some personal iOS device decided to ignore it on safari. Don't know how, don't know why. Computers being computers.

I regularly have to send files to customers, from a few megabytes to a few gigs. It's incredibly hard. Mail? Goes to spam. WeTransfer? Mail clients break URL. Download from my website? Some stupid browser will display the zip data onsc

Genuine question, as I didn't use LLMs much: Sure, they're good for quick prototypes or even launching production grade services. But what about maintenance? What about fixing issues in legacy software?

PHP is great for low maintenance web projects. It runs everywhere and it's cheap. It's essentially serverless without the expensive, no-cost-limit cloud providers. I've made a ton of personal projects in php, and I will conti

No. The least bad thing to do is to stop using so many resources for so little usefulness.

Half a liter of water? Wow. We can probably derive the power usage from that, considering that the heat is generated by consuming electricity. I assume they do evaporative cooling, Anyone with enough physics knowledge to calculate this? At

I struggle to find the value in keeping gold. You can't eat it. You can't use it as a tool. You can't even buy groceries with it (well at least today. Point is: it's not a liquidity). But yes, maybe you'll be able t

Yes, it has become stupid in the recent years. However I used to have a 72hp car that was totally capable of barrelling down the highway at 120km/h (~= 75 miles per hour). So, I insist, 122hp isn't "little".

Again, yes it exists. But I was never directed to it until now. So if it exists but no one knows it does...

Interestingly though, this may be documented, but is it easily accessible? I played Hearthstone in the past and never knew of such documentation.

So you're thinking we can't ride at highway speeds in Europe with "small" 120hp engines? That's... misguided :)

How is maven nowadays? Every time I see an interesting java project, I think about using it, and then I see "maven" and I remember the terrible experiences I had with it. Has it improved at all in the past 10 years?

Funny how they complain 122hp is little. Meanwhile in Europe, we get by just fine with a lot less than that. America needs to stop making everything so big for no reason.

This. If I'm talking to someone, I want to see his face and his reactions. The default "show whoever is talking in big" makes zero sense when you are talking.

Yes, that was just an example to illustrate the "what if your cheap X causes collateral damage", which is a real thing. Imagine you get a cheap drone for videography. It fails mid flight, falls and kills someone. Bad tools can hav

I think that's smart, on paper at least. What so you do about the cheap tools that turn out so bad that they cause damage? For example, you get a cheap screwdriver, it breaks while you use it, and you end up making a hole in the cabine

Let me rephrase then. War doesn't bring anything of value to humanity.
