No, this has been one of the fundamental UI differences between Mac OS (from farther back than OS X) and Windows/Linux. Mac windows can only be resized from the bottom-right, with those other points being used to drag the window around.

Did you read it? This isn't a "your site isn't usable to the 1% of users with motor disabilities" Nielsen article. WSJ spent money to create an app that, because of one poor piece of text, made existing, paying customers dislike them. And n

This is not the question asked. The question is specifically about XML documents, where there is a single and quite easy correct answer for the indentation.

The context in the original question makes clear: the OP is not looking to save space. He wants to take out the structural (tabbed) spacing inherent from the nesting of XML in order to make it visually clear where documents have manually-in

Spot on. This isn't about prudishly getting rid of all nudity and violence. It's not about believing that people who play violent games necessarily become violent people. It's about the fact that our brains are wired to seek order and ident

I like that Nokia has laid out visually the physical 3d objects that model the interface behavior. iPhone applications frequently seem to ignore this very basic idea. The level of realism even gets down to specifying a common light source w

I think it is worth mentioning that while the GUI could use a few tweaks, the overall user experience was amazing. And got right a number of things that were hard or tempting to get wrong: 1. Let me enter an email address separate from my G

You hit the nail on the head. JavaScript is just not built for shared-data concurrency, but passing data back and forth to web workers provides a way to speed up computation-intensive tasks, decouple long processing times from the UI event
