I just signed up to MeetingBurner, it looks promising. As someone that used WebEx and is a currently a paying subscriber of GoToMeeting, this can potentially make our lives a bit easier, especially with Linux users. Personally, I didn't lik

As co-creator of the NOLOH Framework ( http://www.noloh.com ) it's crazy for me to constantly read these posts, clearly we don't do a good enough marketing job. One of the benefits of NOLOH is it's lightweight and on-demand nature, that eve

While I agree with the premise that the web should and is moving towards events. I think the author mistakenly anchors event-based development to JavaScript and NodeJS. Since 2005 (available to the public in 2008), we've (along with numerou

I don't think we'll be in the post-HTML+js world for some time, and not because the technology isn't ready, but because of the general perception and resistance to new ways of doing things. I'm of the co-founders of NOLOH ( http://www.noloh

A potential client came to us several years ago with a similar idea, apparently there's lots of money to made since every local election needs a site + social media. Thus white-labeling the process, as NationBuilder is doing allows for your

They must've bought their iPhone at some point. More seriously though, wanting to customize your phone shouldn't have a correlation with purchases. It's unfortunate that one has to jailbreak in order to do that, I'm sure if they didn't need

It would be nice to know what type of shop they were, after all in some places your OS just provides a text editor or IDE where you work on files remotely and run in a browser off of a *NIX server. If that was the case it doesn't matter wha

It's probably related to Google Maps and their geo-code limitations. You can only query about 2500 in a 24hr period, and even then you can't do bursts without being blocked for a 24hr period. What you should do is query in intervals, store

As a new T-Mobile customer who recently switched from AT&T this saddens me. I finally thought I found a decent provider with their Even More Plus plans. So much for choice and competition.

Microsoft had built in cloud storage, something like live space, or live disk, or something along those lines. It was very similar to dropbox, but for whatever reason it didn't catch on. I know a few people that still use it.

Yep, this is one of my biggest issues with git. I can't fork builds and still push/pull from each other. The best you can do is a git rebase to pull in partials, but then you'll never really be able to get new pulls. It's so nice being able

Personally, I don't feel it's the freedom, or anything of that nature. A 30% cut of anything is just too much. 5%, 10%, ok, maybe even 15%, but 30% to be listed in an app directory, come on. The payment processing is at most 2-3%. Demanding
