Yes, edge side includes are very interesting indeed! We used that for scenarios like you describe, but there are actually some things you should take into consideration when using them. Maybe I can dedicate a blog post to that! :)

You should add http://weusethat.com/ to the description of the repository and as the url of the github user (not an org?). Right now there is no link to click!

If you have open-source projects on github, you should really checkout travis ( http://travis-ci.org/ ). Travis is also able to run tests in different php environments and can be hooked into github to tests whenever you commit! :)

I believe pre-fetching of links is already more common in browsers these days, so I don't think that this feature will introduce these issues again. Note that this new feature also _renders_ the page in the background.
