Tons of Clojure in Europe. Especially Northern Europe. Following the job boards and Clojurians Slack channel's #jobs channels I figure it's about 50/50 for US and EU.

It's using the Deno runtime, not Node. Deno has a TS compiler built-in, thus not requiring you to set anything up in that regard.

Yes, you're right, and I also do it. Doesn't mean however that I need to bury my head in the sand in topics such as this and never mention it.

Private clinics/hospitals in Europe can do this, and I'm assuming at a lot less of a price than 50k. I always go to private clinics in Europe and for getting your entire body tested costs, in Estonia, maybe a few thousand USD. I r

I don't want to toot my own horn, but I wrote a blog post about being a niche programmer that you may or may not find useful: https://ano.ee/blog/the-niche-programmer

I felt the same way, but then I learnt a niche programming language (Clojure), and get to do front-end work for double the salary, with far less competition, and I quite enjoy programming again. Not saying it will work for you, but worth a

I don't really "care" about the business, not in any sense similar to the founder or CEO at the very least, but as a contractor who usually works long-term for one client, I always make it a point to ask what their runway is

It's very new, like, a month or so old, but I'm seeing quite a few people experimenting with it already in the Clojure community. Roam Research ( https://roamresearch.com/ ) has their mobile apps built with it.

There's ClojureDart, which means you can now do Dart and Flutter development in Clojure: https://github.com/Tensegritics/ClojureDart

This is where I would have lawyered up. I don't know where this happened to you, but over in Europe I'm pretty sure this is illegal and I'd be gunning for some sweet, sweet money.

I've found that co-working even then is beneficial. There's usually a co-working closer to me than the office, so less commute, not to mention I don't like working in a place where a manager oversees everything I do, every br

Actually in most cases the company pays for your co-working. At least that's my experience working for fully-remote or mostly-fully-remote companies.

And you can't achieve that with a co-working place? That's what I do. But I get to live in any city or country I want while earning the salary of any city/country I want.

No for that we use Python, but there is a growing ML community with Clojure as well, so I'd say definitely possible.

Clojure is a parasidic language that targets multiple different hosts, such as JavaScript, allowing you to write React.js and Node.js software, as well as JVM, .NET and even Dart/Flutter as of recently. So the answer to what Clojure is

That's true, perhaps I should've clarified that in the article. There's a lot of languages out there that are very niche and have virtually no jobs for them (especially very new languages), so some market research is of cours
