This is really cool! Thanks for sharing - going to give it a go. Similarly, I took a stab not too long ago at attempting to replace my Dropbox [1] - I opted for an implementation using Git and FSWatch. Pro: version control for your files Co

Ok, yes, what’s your point? iPad != iPadOS != iOS which was your original modification to the title. My point is, it’s iPad specific. So iPad/iPadOS is fine here, and not iOS.

iPad-flavored iOS is different than iPhone-flavored iOS. Even Apple calls it iPadOS: https://www.apple.com/ipados/ipados-14/ Their title seems accurate.

Spot on, I’ve noticed it too. It’s crazy. I can only imagine the XX% of ad spend that could be optimized if this problem was solved across the industry, and the millions of dollars that would be saved...from a basic query optimization? I g

There are also normal ads for third parties. So not a replacement. They just also run their own ads. And no, it’s not an ad placeholder. Because they have that too. There is a scene that says “you’re watching YoutubeTV, your show will resum

Can’t they just say the same right back to you? I agree with your position. It’s just worth noting that you do indeed have to be willing to walk, potentially permanently.

Nice glad it fits your case! It’s solid, we have been using it for a while with no issues on the eng side - only issues on the marketing side mainly around ecosystem and WSIWYG customization.

Strapi has been OK. Love the idea but execution is not up to par IMO. I think it will continue to get better, but they just switched to a paid model, so meh (sorry Strapi). Contentful looks good albeit expensive. I personally love the simpl

Great, thanks for the explanation. Hence my ETH bot example, which often times use cross-exchange strategies that are indeed latency-sensitive.

True, still time-sensitive, and Robinhood was/is definitely not the right tool for that job, but maybe for other jobs.

I also agree with this - maybe a hint of doubt is cast by their sketchy history w/ Plaid and collecting transactional data. But for the most part, I think Robinhood did open the doors to a new era of retail investment not accessible ev

True, fair take - but would you really consider a 2DTE position "HFT"? I run ethereum bots, IMO that is not HFT and Robinhood should at minimum have account representatives to manage client relations to be allowed to operate. But
