I learnt that much later. Apparently the current version of webpack that you get by following the official react project setup is missing certain polyfills!

The latest version of webpack removed polyfill, this broke another dependency, and i had to downgrade the react version to fix that! Nothing like this did I ever see in the go or kotlin world.

As someone who programs on backend, frontend, and Android apps, I can't agree more. Javascript frameworks and NPM hell is terrible. You rarely have the problems in Go/Kotlin/Java world that are considered normal in the NPM wo

Backend context is more in your control Frontend context not so much. A backend engineer usually does not write code to run on multiple different versions of CPU. A frontend engineer has to support multiple browsers. A backend engineer wor

I hated Pocket too. I already used RSS reader, so, I ended up building https://reading.ashishb.net that creates an RSS feed of articles you add. And yeah, it has a readable mode turned on by default.

Exactly. I would prefer having universal health care for emergencies while letting the market make non-emergency care (especially routine care) cheap and quick.

Only in America, you have no idea what healthcare would cost before entering a hospital. When you go for a car maintenance/repair, they give you an upfront estimate. Nothing when they work on your body. I blame employer coverage that d

Pocket is on the death bed. Instapaper is good but last I checked they didn't let you create an RSS feed. I ended building a readbility viewer with an RSS feed for personal usage.
