"While a "spiral" and a "helix" are distinct as technical terms, a helix is sometimes described as a spiral in non-technical usage." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral They are different, but people who don't know the difference often

This is fantastic looking. Very well done. Minor nitpick; your spiral is a helix, not a spiral.

My thoughts on the time limits... I have wanted a service like this a dozen or so times this year, and each time it has been when I'm stuck on a problem that I need to get sorted ASAP. If I have time, I'll figure it out myself (that's part

I love this idea. I'm going to bookmark it and give it a shot when I get stuck on something that I need done in a hurry. My thoughts: 1. The bootstrap theme is fine imo, unlike what others are saying. I'm assuming this is an MVP to see if y

I think such a service would be great. Last night in the middle of a very long coding session I got stuck on getting a particular SQL query working right for a couple of hours. I got a little help and some hints in #mysql on freenode, but I

I love this, really cool. I found it a little buggy too, in that it picked up non-swipe movements quite a lot, but an awesome demo nonetheless. Are you planning on continuing to develop this?

This isn't really a fair comparison. You can use unminified, commented javascript in development for testing without a build step, and just build for production. Even so, a build step can be a single keypress, so its no big deal.

Thanks! Where are you getting the feed of projects from by the way? I find Kickstarter terrible for discovering new projects, its seems a lot of stuff gets buried.

I love the QS movement, but I sometimes worry for it. It is young, and there is a wide variety of methodologies being used to draw conclusions, some are solid, others are far from it. This can be expected from a group of people that have no

I think this question assumes a premise that many of the people that use PHP would not agree with. For that reason, the responses you get may be biased. I am a part time developer that uses PHP, and there are a number of reasons I haven't m

It makes a huge difference in my experience. I use a 30" most of the time with side-by side, but occasionally use one (sometimes two) of my side monitors (20" in portrait) if the need arises. It is rare for me to use more than just the 30",

It is worth noting that an alternative solution is to use the MySQL JSON UDFs which can be found at http://www.mysqludf.org/lib_mysqludf_json/ That way, you can simply invoke the function you require in the query, instead of processing it

I originally uploaded the incorrect items, of which one contained a flaw (I scored it as correct for everyone in that early group). In the easy questions you can indeed use those structural techniques, but in the harder ones you couldn't. I

This is for a psych project. It is quite a bit harder than most spatial ability tests. Most spatial ability tests are easy to do with non-spatial methods. We have designed this item format to (hopefully) not be the case. Our results so far

I'd love to see the tech mature over the next few years. E-ink would be great. In the mean time, check out Gunnar glasses. They are fantastic.
