Being unique is important if you actually want to dominate the market. A product like his has captured a piece of the pie, but someone with equal distribution can easily eat into that since he has no moat.

works until you need to use a native library that hasn't been ported for Expo, then you need to eject. I would only consider Expo for POC/MVP

Access to financial data is stupidly expensive. Making a budgeting app that serves 100 power users isn't possible to bootstrap. I wish it wasn't this way, would enable way more applications to be built

your brain is an LRU cache. It'll prioritize what you're using daily and what knowledge you need to rely on. It's completely normal to forget stuff, even the fundamentals
