I'd rather have companies putting out emulator-friendly devices than re-charging for the same game every time a new hardware generation rolls around. The steam deck is just a computer at the end of the day, people are going to run emul

well, the case has been made many times by historians that e.g. the english/american army went too far during the dresden bombings. So even when dealing with the literal nazis, things are not actually morally black and white in terms o

Weird to see all these comments calling the army generous. They didn't have to bomb a civilian block at all.

Seems like a self defeating argument, by picking such a ridiculous goalpost. There is no such thing as a peaceful nazi, because nazis ultimate political goal is genocide. I would not want to associate with any project that knowingly tolerat

It's definitely not dead yet, nor is its fate sealed, but I am somewhat pessimistic about it long term. I would love to be wrong, though, and realistically it's a bit early to make any definitive statements about long term shiftin

I like ladybird, and I think it's a cool project. It's probably more short term useful, but I think serenity is the more interesting project of the two, precisely because browsers are a spec. No one likes the absolute chromium dom

this is a tangent, but it also kind of seems like a lot of the development behind Serenity is being sucked away by the Ladybird browser now. Especially with it now having funding I fear that Serenity will wither further and further as the f

by asddubs 3y ago
maybe measuring is more accurate to say than counting. that way you include things like units of speed, and negative numbers (you can't really count -3)

As much as I like pine, the pinephone is heavily subsidized by librem who actually hires software devs to make things work. If you like your pinephone, you have librem to thank for it in large parts.
