Right now in the UK, VAT is at 20% on ebooks as it is for any other standard rate item. Physical books and magazines are at 0%. Most people won't be paying this though, as sites like Amazon sell from Luxembourg where VAT on eBooks is 3

Great to hear! Looking forward to giving Dart and AngularDart a go.

Yes, the situation seems much better than I thought. I didn't realise Angular.dart was unrepresentative.

As of last week's AngularDart announcement, it sounded like the size of Dart to JS compiled code was still rather large. I'm surprised a 1.0 release has been cut if that is still a problem. I know dart2js can and I'm sure wil

Will you be clarifying the content license before the campaign finishes? I'd love to see all tutorials with a CC-BY-SA license.

Though they have a $50 minimum also (unlike CloudFront), presumably as customers spending less than that are too expensive to support.

Licenses for video codecs are sold because people want them, the chip can decode them, and it would obviously be stupid to bake that cost in to the base price when only a subset of users want them. The Foundation doesn't want to see yo

I agree that a lot of this stuff is surprisingly affordable and doable with low-cost equipment. That said, it's worth noting that in the case of the Raspberry Pi the BGA package of the BCM2835, even were it available in small quantitie

Cheers, it doesn't affect me personally - I just know from experience that some companies are vehemently anti-(L)GPLv3. It doesn't help that FUD is spread about it from both in and outside the FOSS community.

Is there any possibility Rackspace may add a spot market to their product offering? Indeed if you or anyone else has any insight as to why Amazon remains (to my knowledge) the only "cloud" hosting vendor to offer spot pricing I&#x

Yes I recognise having that option is an advantage, a major one for some cases (e.g. e-commerce). However I wouldn't be keen to put my credit card details in to a form on e.g. a blogger's website soliciting donations.

Am I right in thinking that Stripe has no option for a hosted payments page? This makes it much clearer to users that the site they are in does not process their credit card details correctly. I am aware of Stripe Checkout.
