That sort of makes sense. I am not sure of it's prevalence, but at least for Indians, it's pretty common to code switch while writing (even more so while speaking).

Asobo does have prior experience with large open world games, they made Fuel[1]. It held the record for the largest game map ever (it still does?) [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_(video_game)

I am not sure what causes it. Maybe it's the anxiety? I've dealt with it most of my life. Even basic things like going outside, talking to a clerk at a store, talking on a phone would make me a nervous wreck, where I could barely

Perhaps it was muscle memory? I could see that happening to me if I had recently installed the browser and it won't auto-complete the searches based on past history. Also the fact that my IQ drops by 50 points when someone is watching

I had the X10 Mini Pro. The slide out keyboard was absolutely amazing for emulation + doing sysadmin tasks. The only alternative these days is the F(x)tec Pro [1], but it's quite expensive :( [1]: https://store.fxtec.com

The Compact models are newer, the Mini line was popular when they were called Sony-Ericsson. Though I agree with the naming scheme issues, my first smartphone was a Xperia X10 Mini Pro[1], which was quite a mouthful. [1]: https://

+1 for Zim+Syncthing, been using it for almost 2 years now. The only gripe I might have is against the near useless search and proper support for code blocks.

I'd argue that the time period plays a more important role there than the gender, considering the kind of mobs I've seen on Tumblr and communities for TV shows (Steven Universe/Adventure Time/Gravity Falls comes to mind)

This mirrors my experience. I had been using Ubuntu MATE for a few years without any issues, 30-40 days of uptime with no hiccups. Switched to Fedora to just try it out and it's really iffy. GNOME shell hogs memory and CPU for god know

This article from The Atlantic[1] does a much better job explaining the issue. It contains more than a handful of examples of people getting fired for really benign opinions, also this is just in the last few months. [1]: https://

When it comes to phones, the excuse is "security" of the phone, locking down the device as much as possible. And it's sad how that sentiment is echoed even on forums like HN. Apple as already a closed walled garden, Android i

I've observed the same thing honestly, most default + biggest subs are pretty left leaning. Though reddit does tend to host some right wing subs for which you have you go out of your way to find. There's also some old hate subs th

One thing that stands out to me is lemmy has public modlogs[1], this is a great feature in my opinion. Something that should be more common. Quite a few people on reddit are frustrated by how opaque moderation is, but looking at the meta co
