It's not just you, I'm in a similar boat (also in EU). The market has been quite bad in the last few months. Used to get at least a few calls from the HN hiring posts, but got absolutely nothing in the last 3-4 months. Same for Li

It's a pretty good game fwiw, though I never got the reverence it receives from the internet. Maybe it's a symptom of shoddy writing in videogames that anything that strays from the norm gets praise. I always felt the story was to

I read your comment before going to the site. After starting the session, within a few seconds my mind drifted off into noticing how I couldn't see my reflection since my laptops screen is matte and why I prefer matte screens over a gl

Not sure what's the current state of behavior for contenteditable in different browsers, but a decade ago it used to vary wildly among them. The most fun one was how IE handled nested contenteditable attributes. I needed blocks of text

I actually like my current phone (Zenfone 9) due to this reason and the fact that it's pretty small compared to all the flagships. The back is some variant of plastic but it feels like paper. Dropped it a couple of times without a case

It's not just the hearing capability, I have better than average hearing for someone who is 30 but I still struggle with movies without subtitles since English is not my primary language. Its hard to understand what someone is saying e

It probably depends on the person, but I personally enjoy such tales. Gives me more context about why a piece of code was written the way it is now. But then again, I also enjoy scrolling through the commit history of a repo like it's

Had the opportunity to see Joyce Manor live this year, it was quite amazing. I got into emo quite late (in my late 20s, mostly due to Spotify discovery queue), but found it really fun to listen to. Would also recommend Football etc, Adventu

FYI, Google maps works without you needing to sign in (iirc it doesn't even need Play services, so it works with de-googled custom ROMs). Though this is an exception rather than the norm.

Try Pinta, it's pretty close to Paint.net in terms of functionality. But make sure to install it from the repository specified on the website. The version provided by various distributions is very old and unstable.

Not related to this, but were there any improvements planned for a power loss during sleep on Linux (also possibly mentioning it on the product page)? A laptop losing 40% of it's battery while it's suspended isn't really nice

Like every other film industry, Bollywood movies also have a indie counterpart. I've seen quite a few, though it might not translate very well to a watcher who is not familiar with the cultural context for the movies. Still if you want

Eh not really, I've used the hidpi MacBooks for work, it doesn't really make a big difference. I can tell the difference between a 1440p/4k and a 1080p screen, but it doesn't bother me to the point where I won't buy

Ah fair enough, thanks for the insight. I've worked in a heavily regulated domain for the past few years and just wanted a change to something different. Perhaps I'll still give it a shot if nothing else turns up.
