Of course, but when in development, we use the a template tag that inserts the original url (no commit hash mangling on MEDIA URL), which means that yes, for each deployment we nuke statics, but on our dev cycle that would happen any way (i

On universalsubtitles.org, we're doing something pretty similar to that. 1) Move all static media to a unique hash (we get that from git's commit id, making it trivial to correlate code & static) to /[static-media]/[static-cache]/[git c

I'm not sure where in latam you're thinking about, but at least in Brazil these numbers are way off. Yes, you can live with $500 a month, but you'd go without many luxuries such as internet connection, cel phone and so on. Major cities (the

I am not sure if you are Portuguese or Brazilian, and this is probably way too obvious but... if you haven't: do read Guimarães Rosa. Like Saramago, his writing takes a while to sink in, but once it does, you're hooked. To me he's the best

The problem is that today, getting started often means: correct syntax highlighting, indentation, auto-complete (intelisense), build integration and scm integration. And for a few languages at least(e.g javascript, python, ruby, html, css,
