For those of you that are confused as I was, they are referring to the site as the "Github for food", and are not managing their content using Github as I wrongly inferred from the title. EDIT: title was changed to make this clear.

Ah, I just realized that this simply prints text out in a gif... it doesn't encode text in the gif and then decode it in the browser into text that javascript could manipulate. Too bad. I wonder if that's possible...

This is awesome -- you never know when a solution like this might come in handy. Wayyyyy back in the day (NS4, IE4 day) I used the width / height of an image the browser polled every few seconds as a transport mechanism... the only other op

I recall Datomic making a bit of a splash on HN when it was announced 6+ months ago, but basically crickets since then. Anybody build something cool that took advantage of Datomic's unique design?

I'm not following your rationale. Isn't that Facebook's default model? I explicitly choose who is allowed to see my content, and I have control over how much of that content they can see through privacy settings / lists. The problem with

The article doesn't directly mention the risk to a man in his 20's or 30's... just that up to 30% of the cases of autism has to do with the mutations associated with "older" sperm. Obviously there is a lot more work that needs to be done t
