What in the world is "php.ini level of madness"? If you are trying to attack php you are not doing a good job of it, especially because there were good reason for using a separate program for glob.

Goy is not a Yiddish word, it's a Hebrew word that means "nation", and is most commonly used to mean "a different nation than me". Like any word it can be used in a derogatory way or a neutral way.

So the fun thing is that's already what happens! It's part of a law passed with the ACA called the Medical Loss Ratio rule. I've come to discover that most people really do not understand healthcare insurance at all. The true

This is simply not true. Denying claims does NOT increase insurance company profits, it actually DECREASES it. Read this thread I posted: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42642405

Expenses are irrelevant to the law, which looks at money in -> healthcare costs paid externally . Those expenses are internal and increasing them doesn't change the above at all, those expenses affect profit and that it. Insurance

What you posted is a completely separate topic though. That's an analysis of vertical integration. But it has nothing to do with the claim that "denying claims increases profits", which is simply not true.

The issue is that Manhattan is not just a destination, it's also a transit - people often just want to go through Manhattan, and not into it. If you removed all the through traffic, leaving just people who want to stop there, that chan

Really? If I were rich, and in a hurry (as opposed to speeding for the thrill) it's exactly what I would do. How would you word this clause without people saying "I just hired him, I didn't tell him to speed"?

The downside is it creates a conflict between the city and the rest. The city is like "we want transit, everyone else go away". The rest are like "we want to give you business but your policies drive us away", and "

So you're saying that if I'm rich and I want to speed I hire a driver with no money and quietly cover the fine for him? I've always wondered about this loophole in that system.

The low power processors are not general purpose, they are fpga's, they get trained and then are highly optimized at their task. And they stay in the brain even when not used. You can ride a bike or play a piano years after stopping.
