Subscribe to the Pycoder's weekly email list [1]. I love looking through the different libraries - you can certainly learn a lot from digging through source code. I just found out about Neckbeard Republic [2] today - it looks to be sim

I'm using Flask with Flask-Restless for an API.

We'll never know where Go excels unless we build lots of things with it first :)

I'd be very interested in reading a blog post about the data modeling process, especially if you find yourself changing it further as you receive more traffic.

Thank you for open sourcing this. I've been itching to dive into some production ready Go code, and I've got a lot of interest in Angular.

I loved the presentation. Once I was done reading, I scrolled back up just to view the whole thing again. Now, time to try the game :)

This is awesome. I've watched some of John's AngularJS videos before, and they've been the best resources on the subject that I've seen. His earlier stuff on ActionScript 3 and design patterns was superb, too.

Very nice. This is one of those things where I don't need it right now, but in 2 weeks I'll be thinking "where the hell is that bookmark..." :)

I signed up. I'm a self taught guitar player, and although I've made pretty good progress, sometimes it's tough to make time to practice. I'm hoping that weekly lessons will inspire me to make time for it. Good luck!

Nice idea and implementation. I noticed a typo in the About copy on the main page: "along with apply personal tags" should be "along with applying personal tags"

Slick presentation, but simply takes too long to display data and seems buggy - caused my phone to freeze.

Seconded. I'd love having access to an API. Great job on the site.

Very nice. I was about to hand roll my own implementation of this, but this just saved me some time :-) I like how there's a working demo right there on the page - it's nothing groundbreaking but it definitely adds a bit more polish. Someth

The tutorial definitely glosses over some information that you would need to research later on. For a more in-depth guide, check out the Pro Git book @ http://git-scm.com/book . You can read it online for free.

Runs a bit slow, but impressive nonetheless. I appreciate the simple but effective interface. I love when sites do something like this in order to give potential users a quick taste of a language or technology. I already learned Git using t

I'd be interested to know what language(s) the author is using for these MOVE applications. I primarily use PHP, and have gotten in the habit of using a service layer to handle business operations. I've found that it's worked extremely well

I would say yes, although to varying degrees depending on the framework. IMO, the safest bet would be to use an 'enterprise' level framework (Zend, Symfony2). But, as jrgnsd mentioned in his reply, even within the context of a framework, an

I don't think there's anything preventing you from using Services in other (PHP) frameworks, it's just that Symfony2's Dependency Injection Container component makes it very simple and straight-forward. I think it'd be trivial for other PHP

I second this. Symfony2's use of Services is refreshing, and I feel that having been made aware of this practice, I now write better software. While reading the article, I kept thinking "this sounds just like a Service class."
