Because it's not a derived work (not based on numpy code) thus the library author is free to choose a license that he feels best protects his code and aligns with his interests. LGPL offers significant protections that can not be found

A BSD-style license does not protect contributions/changes to the library so it follows that it is not a drop-in replacement for LGPL. Multiple people have told you that there are no technical issues with LGPL applied to Lisp programs

There are no ambiguities in LGPL. "Franz did LLGPL" is not by itself a good enough reason to suspect there are or to use LLGPL.

I have a Matrox millenium (best DOS card ever!), three G400 cards and one G400 Max. They worked incredibly well with Linux esp with multiple monitors. I had 2 of them in one tower, driving 4 monitors at once at some point. I fondly remember

That's exactly what he did, registered the domain on a whim with no actual facts to back his decision. I think that much is obvious. My reading of the situation is also based on additional data that's public if you care to look. H

Keep in mind that Hutchins had no idea what registering the domain would do at the time of registration. It was pure dumb luck that it turned out for the best, it could very well have been a disaster. In fact he even admits that he went thr

The Lisp code is terrible performance-wise and written by someone who obviously doesn't know Common Lisp very well. Look at Steve Losh's comment here for something a lot better. My own (further) improvements put SBCL performance i

I did some quick changes to your code (inlining, stack allocating) and got a further ~2x speedup which makes SBCL performance equivalent to Julia.

The thing that kills Clojure for a lot of teams I worked with is the JVM. It's too limiting and constrains the problems one can solve.
