I love it. It removes the more tedious parts of my work and I've found it to give me time to think about the overall system. I'm wondering what it will cost me (read my employer) once it is out of beta. Considering I am willing to

Small correction, it would have been the BAFIN (banking regulator) and not the BAMS (migration office)

More likely is that they would ban British companies (or companies operating in Britain) from publishing ads on Facebook and doing business with them (including local data center operators and ISPs, Google and Apple as app store operators).

It doesn't "require" a subscription per se, however the OCR and Google drive integration are part of it. Presumably other features in the future because VC love subscription.

Quick warning: I bought my device before they started offering a subscription service and got grandfathered in for free. It profoundly changed how I organise my desk and work day. I used to have a stack of papers which contained mostly rand

That should be possible though shouldn't it? Tying a copyright license (at least non exclusive) to the NFT transfer sounds not that far fetched. It would be a little bit tricky to make that work globally but you could probably do that

I think you are right and I should have put more thought and research into my response. Looking back I've no idea where I got the impression from that MEV is welcomed by the core client Devs.

I'm not surprised at all Many actors (including core devs) in the Ethereum (and other crypto) ecosphere see front running (known as MEV) and the payment for protection thereof (known as flashbots) as a "feature" so it's

I'm sure Google and Apple would be in tears if all those users would migrate to their streaming services.

Taking off in Germany as well. Slowly because the law does mandate an API but doesn't specify any technical details Also because of a complicated authentication and registration system (with the regulator) But the banks finally did so

Many (read most) won't have a professional Facebook or Google account. My boss would not be happy if I had to use a Facebook account on my work machine. And who evaluates BI tools in their free time?

Laws can mandate a very rigid pricing structure for some services in many countries. One example would be access to last mile internet cables and some insurances where profits are tightly regulated. Lawmakers and regulartors could explicitl

Oh I see. I think there are several use cases people associate with NFT. One is money laundering and that is indeed hard as you mention. The other is payment for illegal services and goods. I can't wire you money for "one assassin

I'm not sure I can follow. The "legit" transaction (NFT<->Money) would be declared and taxes would be paid on any gains. The "real" product would be delivered off chain and without anybody knowing. From an out

COVID changed a lot. I can pay by card in chain bakeries and most non chain bakeries around me. My supermarket recently upgraded their card reader to a model which doesn't take an eternity to process a nfc transaction. Restaurants are

IIRC that only requires an nfc capable credit card reader so still "waving a card in front of the machine".

If the allegations are true, they knew exactly what was happening and even took steps to make it seem like Google was not in full control of AMP. Whether front line engineers knew isn't that important. AMP Leadership definitely did.

I always tell people that it would be against Googles interest to sell your data. Their deception is working exceptionally well and it's not even a lie. After all there is much more money made in selling your attention repeatedly then

How much USD does Coinbase hold at any given moment? What you are missing is "counterparty" risk in the sense that Coinbases coffers are not infinite and certainly not 100% cash. In the event of a bank run they would have to say &

Could be that. On the other hand some (legitimate) support call centers are located in Eastern Europe so it's possible to find enough German speakers there (although not native ones).
