Admittedly my comment was incredibly long, but I did include > And like the parent comment mentions, OpenDNS somehow blocks requests that pass through a recursive resolver.

I love https://ntfy.sh/ for my services running on headless servers - it lets me ping my phone with messages of varying urgency, and even duplicate the notifications to email for particularly information-dense messages.

Is configuring BIND hard just because it's got an obtuse zone and configuration format? Or because there are a lot of DNS-server-level decisions that need to be made?

Try Artix Linux instead! It's essentially Arch, but with an alternative unit system.

I'll admit, I have no idea why southerntofu said non-profit, I was simply following the ethos of the comment and suggesting a service that is (seemingly) not being monetized while being quite reliable.

I think we're talking about the same thing, but I explained it absolutely terribly. If we "dump the other output" back into the power source, such as the battery, does that solve the problem of not implicitly dumping it into

Say we use this (or any other) superconductor to build an AND gate. Assume one input is zero, so the information of the other input is lost. I assume the energy lost as heat occurs due to the "current" going into the and gate havi

Ha, got distracted in the middle of typing out my comment. Fixed now. Was saying that I managed to disable admin access for my user, so I had the pleasure of obtaining a recovery root shell and learning about the sudoers file.

Interesting. If this becomes a widespread practice, I suppose Cloudflare could start including bogus client subnet values in its upstream requests.

This comes across as overly snarky. At best, you delayed productive conversation by the time needed for two asynchronous comments. At worst, you shame someone out of getting an answer to their question.

Somehow I think the overhead of TCP will be a lot more significant than the overhead of a copy from cache to memory. Wouldn't such a system make more sense for sending raw memory directly over the wire in some form of custom protocol?
