I've looked at Mind Maps before, which I assume are similar. They look interesting, though one would need to make sure they don't overwhelm the reader. I think collapsible content could help with that though (and with linear outlines too).

I think there could be more outlines and diagrams in place of text. Paragraphs of text are often necessary, but the question is to what extent could alternatives be tried.

That could be an option for the video section, but I was unable to access the course. I think they only allow access while its in progress.

I mentioned it in my post ( http://www.zappable.com/2012/11/learning-ruby-and-rails/ ), but I think the Humble Ruby Book is clearer to actually learn how to code.

I looked at it, but I thought it had too much of an emphasis on just copying code , while "How to Think Like a Computer Scientist" lets you play around with examples right in the browser.

I think these are among the the best resources for a beginner to learn programming, so I put together a quick table of them.

I don't think these reasons are so strong. If you're not signed into Google, you don't need to worry about tracking. And you can turn off personalized results: https://www.google.com/preferences . The Bang sytax is usually worse than doin

I think sometimes there's too much emphasis on finding the problem, but that's not why companies like Google or Microsoft were successful. The reason Google won at search was that they had the best results. They probably still would have wo

It looks cool, though there are still some things to fix. In split view, I wasn't able to test out the code. Also, I tried opening a link on the bottom in a new tab, but it opened in the current tab, causing me to lose my work.

Installing a whole OS just to test a site on IE seems a bit excessive. Wouldn't it be easier to just test one's site on the cloud? (E.g. see http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/SuperPreview_Ov... , though its for Windows.)

It would be simpler if there was a system that ranked job-seekers by aptitude and experience and then they could apply to companies that were matches. E.g. Google would only look at people who were in the 99.9th percentile while small-borin

How did this get voted so high? Some of their source-links have no connection to the topic, and some of their facts seem wrong. Also, their site does not work very well, since some bubbles do not close when clicked on.
