Maybe they should just make their own network. Anyway, if it's possible to install Skype on these phones, even if it doesn't come preinstalled it won't matter much, people will do it anyway.

'If it becomes complicated and costly, our instinct would be to move elsewhere.' This is kind of ironic. You are in internet as a company to make business, but you don't want to use paid services yourself. How do you expect companies to m

Are applications from outside America accepted? How are they handled if they were selected? I'm somewhat new to the YC funding process, not sure if I can find this info somewhere (a link would be appreciated if that's the case). Thank you!

I'm working on something like this on my spare time, since I also wanted something with this functionality, amongst other things. If you want to talk about it or want me to send you word when/if I finish it, let me know how can I contact yo

Gmail isn't perfect. The only two real reasons why I use Gmail and not Outlook are: - I can access it online from anywhere without configuring much. - Because of the good spam filter, saves me from installing Mail Washer or other anti spam

How about Tracks? http://getontracks.org/ It's also based on the GTD philosophy, it's very easy to use and has some nice features. You can find an online version here, try the demo first to see if you like it: https://tracks.tra.in

The irony is that, if you put one of these next to a cat, guess what will happen... Yum :) I could write a long rant about how wrong I find this kind of campaigns, but I think it's not the time nor the place. I'll leave it at saying that I

Well, if I was to apply to such a job and saw this kind of mistake, I would point it out in the best way I could. E.g. "I've been developing in XX language since it was released", "The technology has been available for X years and I started

Same thing with .NET. When I see these things I wonder, is it that recruiters really have no clue of what they are asking or are they doing it to "catch" the kind of people who like to bluff/lie on their resume?

Well, how about, a pack of dirt with mystery seeds. What will you get? I think this would be more attractive as a gift (as long as the chosen plants are nice) than just the dirt. I would include general instructions on how to take care of t

It's not really code related, but it's maybe interesting for those who spend 3/4 of the day in front of a PC as an idea to do some exercise. It's my transport method to go back home from work and it keeps me from getting rusy now that I don

Don't you think that if they find out you got around it they would not be too happy about it? I usually just quickly peek at the RSS at work and visit the site at lunch break or at home, much safer this way (and I get less distracted).

Err, I find it odd. If I received a packet of dirt from a friend I would be amused, but it would probably end pouring it all over his head. Just kidding... or not. But, if I had to choose a green gift it would rather be a baby tree or seeds

I've seen them biking when it's raining as well, but I think their roads and paths are prepared for it. As in, the surface isn't as polished as the streets here, so it's much harder to slip, unless you're as clumsy as... me :( Oh and, you s

Nice article :) My boyfriend lives there so I go often to Amsterdam, and even though biking is becoming "fashionable" where I live (Barcelona, Spain), the difference in the amount of bikes between both cities is abysmal, they are way way ah

Gaming = legal. Drugs = illegal (generally). Although I did meet a couple of people that were really good at their jobs and I later found out were drug users. This is what taught me not to assume or generalise stuff about others before even

There's 11 million people playing WoW, with different levels of playtime/dedication. It's a bit excessive to try to put all these people in the same can. I would trust psychological tests rather than just assume all WoW players are irrespon

On one hand, money isn't everything, but on the other it's naive to think that people don't have bills to pay, so I can't agree completely with the "don't mind the salary" song. It is important, we like it or not. That aside, I couldn't fin

I think I was feeling too negative yesterday, but yes, that's what I meant, it's not about having fun anymore but about giving something for free. And we sure like to help people out, but the issue is, do we still consider it a game then? A

True, but I don't think these people fit in the 'gamer' category (or rather, 'dedicated gamer'). Well, generalising is bad, but you get the idea. I see them as two (almost) opposed concepts :P And I mean opposed as in, gaming is usually don

I'm not too sure about this. The main issue is that people play to have fun. When they realise that their "efforts" to have fun are being used for something else, suddenly the game isn't a game anymore and they become reluctant to use it. S
