It's unclear to me which axle even locked up. How would the driver even know? The witness marks would be flat spots, but no photo evidence is given. For all I know, the skid marks are from rear tires burning out. The article claim

Knights like to sit fairly forward, reinforced by our pawns, on squares their pawns can't attack. Bishops like long diagonals, and to complement the pawns' attacking squares (Ps & Bs tend to cover only one color). Also good f

While not a book per se, I learned a lot from the Gentoo Wiki. Trial and error could get a determined beginner through a stage 3 install, I think. [1] https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64

I more or less agree, though I could get used to just about anything. ( see also: ES modules are terrible https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29137663 ) To suggest deprecating CommonJS so as to reduce fragmentation see

Thoroughly wordy; this could have been 3 pages. Deeply unconvincing, to boot. (am I defaming the author by saying their writing sucks?) I'm more convinced "true defamation" is not defamation at all. > as long as we u

So it's hardly "go east". You're going momentarily east, then southeast. It is interesting what a "straight line" really means, though, in different contexts. I would have to say this is a poor puzzle, though

The C# interop API will surely work, but I wouldn't claim it's user-friendly. I would strongly consider dumping rows into SQL, for more "natural" selection. [1] https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dot

I would wager it was either late 1996 or 1997. Perhaps the drive was used/returned. In '96, it seems ~2 GB ran ~$400. [1] https://notebooks.com/2011/03/09/hard-drive-prices-over-time... [2] http

Any idea how popular each is? Just curious. It's the same in League, they're just called quick cast & quick cast w/ indicator. And normal cast, but I think nobody uses it. I feel like on-release (w/ indicator) is m

Seems like there are only ever 4 root causes to govt/contractor failures: 1. miscommunication (not seen here) 2. training issues (check) 3. not spending enough money (check) 4. decisions made by previous leadership (only hinted at) I

I use the dongle, fwiw. It stays attached to my "good" wired earphones. I don't really have any strong feelings either way about it. I dropped my phone once, and the dongle took the brunt of it (saving the expensive stuff)

I absolutely agree. Windows Pro + Hyper-V + Linux = super good. And I'm a Mac guy, if anything. Remote Desktop is really good, too. I use it all the time from my MacBook (though I mostly SSH, naturally). WinSCP + midnight commander

Trucks sure are popular, but gov't regulations didn't "make" them big. Given the popularity of F-250s / 2500s, which hardly meet any CAFE standard, the truckers don't yearn for the Ranger. They like 12mpg tu

Motion smoothing is great on my 120Hz TV. Theater is fine -- I have a home theater w/ a 24p projector. I wish it had 120Hz smoothing, but at least it's not dim like my local theater. 24p content at 60Hz is really, really bad (3:2
