I don't understand. The alternative, as I detailed above, is "you get 1000 options per month for the next four years", which is also time-limited.

Why is it phrased as 1/48 of my (say) 48000 optipns/shares vest rather than a fixed amount of 1000 options/shares are awarded every month? Alternatively, why aren't salary offers phrased as "you will get $640,000, w

(This is not technically a reply to you, but just some context in case anyone else is interested.) For my own benefit, I have attempted to interpret the statistics in this relatively authoritative source: http://www.erneuerbare-e

Though you are correct that interest rates are very low, I believe it is disingenuous to quote the rate of a gilt with a maturity under 10 years. (You have mentioned the 2-year gilt.)

Unfortunately, your area for San Francisco is 80% water. The more relevant data of land area is more like 60 km^2 for Manhattan and 120 km^2 for San Francisco. Edit: as a result, your comparison to Pune is significantly inaccurate. Indeed,

It is my understanding that Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is a cash benefit. Do you not consider TANF in the U.S. to be "welfare" in the form of a cash grant?

So how does one write the (square x) macro in Common Lisp? Presumably, one would like to avoid evaluating the argument twice as well as accidental variable capture.
