I have no statistics at hand but the Android ecosystem is known for having a lot of old phones. Since the corona apps are not about reaching the wealthiest, but about reaching as many people as possible it might be worth the effort.

Well, not entirely. The problem I have is that this old version has serious bugs. So you write a bash script, test it with a modern bash and everything looks fine. But then you start the same script on a fresh macOS and it doesn't run.

While I appreciate the existence of POSIX as a standard, I wonder how we could come to a place where it would be actually good. Don't get me wrong, there are many positive things about POSIX shells, but in my opinion, the language itse

What I am really missing is some kind of real-time AI. A decade ago, I have coded some bot for an ego-shooter with RTS elements and have learnt so much from it (while having a lot of fun). It starts with basic things like waypoint systems v

I think it is just a problem between theory and practice. In theory it is possible, but in practice it has proven to be so hard, that I am not sure if there ever was or will be a secure computer that is connected to the internet. Another pr

You probably mean 'Windows equivalent'. Many people don't care, but it really is a bad habit to use 'Windows' and 'PC' ambivalently. Yes, Windows is the dominant OS for the PC, but there are others as well
