We were using protobufs at Spotify and ditched them for simple JSON calls on the client side. No one complained, and never going back to having anything like that on the client side if I can. Just too many drawbacks. For server to server,

This is a great article. I have had to deal with this lately, and FP8 / INT8 is very important especially for mobile/on-device inference. AI will start to get embedded in all kind of devices (even low power one), and often backen

Are you serious? Nurses are not secretaries. They work with people. Just because they have to fill forms, it doesn't give away the fact that their primary job is to tend/care people, help in operations, etc... mostly interacti

lol what. Pele is 3 times WC winner my dude. Messi is great, but not yet at Pele's level.

Nah. I am C. Ronaldo fan. For many he was an inspiration as well. CR7 was unlucky this WC, due to his manager's poor decisions with the Morocco game.

Messi is actually a jerk. He purposely wanted to sink Lewandowski Ballon D'or nomination (which was well deserved) by voting for a nobody.

I think this is a world wide trend as well. Humanity is progressing with every generation. (this is true even in Africa). Some countries progressing faster though, (China being one of them).

Tesla is not known to be a good employer to work for, and hence I imagine the tesla engineers are just not that good in average. I have been working for a long time in the industry, and I have no former coworkers that are good that work the

Sounds like alarmist reaction without proper evidence. How do you even know it is Meta? Anybody can get your phone #, and it is super easy to get spam.

Our Ancestors probably ate whatever they could get their hands on. Lots of fruit/berries included. The fact is that the average 'early farmer' skeleton is shorter and looks less healthy from the hunter gatherers. That can

Not a good advice. I have been at Op's shoes, and I inherited a project that was a clusterf, and did a full re-write. It was a lot of work (more than anticipated), but eventually it was very successful. The original code was just not

To give some more context: Albania is hosting about 2-3k Iranian political refugees that are opposed to the current regime. They are actually mostly elderly people at this point. This was done with the US request a decade ago. That's

Anybody reading this, Prizren is a very beautiful historical town/city. It has some really nice old architecture, plus a castle, and there is plenty to explore around the area. It has a lot of old school Albanian gold and silver shop

Agreed. But once you get some macros (or categories) then Objective-C becomes a great language. Is both elegant and very powerful as it is has the perfect balance between a static and a dynamic language. Swift on the other had is a language

Yeah, apple went from selling personal computers to iPods, phones and headphones, where they make most of the money.... Would you have said the same for Apple back in 2007? Ps. Restaurants change menus all the time.

Everyone needs a shift of perspective on this: Imaginary numbers are functions... not numbers! Functions are real if you can reproduce their output, even though you don't know the inward working of them.
