Relevant news story about this from December 2011: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16306742 I think things have been fairly quiet for a few months pending this re-launch.

I'm an enthusiastic user of Pinboard but over the past few days I've been putting "permanent" bookmarks into Trello instead. This seems to be working out OK for me. By "permanent" I mean things which I know I will want to refer back to all

I wonder if the scores for Q2 were skewed upwards due to a recent Stack Overflow question which illustrated the principle of sequential disk reads in a similar scenario. (SO is down right now, so I can neither find it nor tell when/whether

I respect your opinion about Civ5, but it's worth pointing out that it did recently get a very large expansion pack called "Gods & Kings" [1] which improved (IMHO) the dynamics of play quite a bit. I would have to concede that the AI is

I understand this. But writing tests as you go means you can't introduce new functional code at the same pace. Although I think it's an unsolved problem, I lean heavily towards writing tests (and documentation) towards the end of a project.

This is what I was alluding to when I mentioned that it's not obvious when tests should be written. It simply isn't practical to write them as part of a quick prototype (or any other rapid iteration). But writing them at the end of a projec

Perhaps my choice of words could have been better... swap out "prototype" (a hyperbolic example) in favour of "iteration" in my second paragraph and see if it makes more sense. The central point I am trying to make is that it seems wasteful

I see unit testing (and especially TDD) as a barrier to agile development. If I'm cranking out a prototype to show a customer then I don't want to spend precious time writing tests for code that stands a good chance of being thrown away at

It's fairly standard practice to provide a list of backwards incompatible changes (along with instructions on how to mend your code) when making changes to an API or a framework. Maybe these updates to the FB Graph API don't break anything?
