Awesome work! Nitpicking/design language question - would you use the term "affordance" to describe the avatar silhouette itself? To me, that's just a clue, an indicator, a hint to the general action possibility (afforda

I believe that the best of the AR systems coming up (because, let's be honest, this is a kind of AR), is CastAR. It gives the wearer the ability to see any CG object above/inside a given physical surface. It works using projectors

That's not really the use case. The use case is more along the lines of "I like this band a lot and would love to see them live but I can't be bothered to track this stuff", so you go to songkick and it will send you an

Slightly off topic but I would like to recommend you to read Amusing Ourselves to Death by Neil Postman. In it, he posits that the advent of television is the primary driving force behind image-based politics. It's full of astute obser

Excellent study! I know it's not exactly easy to do with their analysis framework but I'd be interested to know how many apps just ignore certificate errors. It's a depressingly common "solution" on Stack Overflow..

This is my favourite piece of "biometrics don't work" material - http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/biometrics.pdf It's a bit old now but it's still as valid.

Re: list styling - you can make the whole list a different colour and also "extract" it with different borders. Consider indenting items more visibly - either more leading space or a more visual left border (e.g. something that lo
