Well yes.. I agree. But my comment was addressing parent's point that pure blue and pure red are currently considered close together since they share the same greyscale values.

It'd be better to convert to HSL, and compute the distance from there. HSL-distance preserves color similarity with higher fidelity than converting both pixels to greyscale as done in the shared link

I kinda like sublime's approach. It only asks when I repeatedly spam ctrl+s to save the file. But never on the first save. Only when I spam it five or so times. I like to think the developer specifically targetted this "redundant

I've considered it, but there are two Windows features I need that sound like they'd require some time investment to set up correctly on linux. 1. I use UWF on windows (Education Edition). All disk writes to C:/ are ephemeral

Thats odd. I have none of these problems. Sleep doesnt interrupt the VM. And I regularly use the git CLI through WSL on projects living within windows user directories. Both work fine.

Things with sentimental value have so because they trigger memories. I find a photo of the object triggers memories just the same. Snap a photo, place it in some memories album, and donate. It's much easier to hoard digital photos than

> So it is uniquely hard to approximate with a rational number. Fun fact. The best rational approximations for golden ratio are sequential fibonnaci numbers. E.g. fibonacci(n+1)/fibonacci(n) or for a more concrete example, 21/1

> Reallocate portfolios if that makes sense Yes. This is one of the reasons 80 stocks / 20 bonds is a common strategy. The rebalancing "forces" you to buy low and sell high. When stocks dip, your portfolio might become unb

I found it odd to base the loss-factor on the number of people you follow, rather than a truer indication of timeline-update-frequency. What if I follow 4k accounts, but each of those accounts only posts once a decade? My timeline would be

What does it mean for it to be illegal? If they cast faithless votes, would those votes stand, but then they open themselves up for prosecution? or would the votes not stand at all.

No. Math considers -7 = 3 modulo 5. it's a ring that repeats every 5 units. -7 + 5 + 5 = 3. Think of a clock which is a ring of size 12. In a clock, going backwards 15 hours (-15) is the same as going backwards 3 hours (-3) which is th
