Lower than this. If I use the AOT compile option with .NET Core 3.1 I get a 40MB binary which goes down to 10MB with the trim option. Just like Go which embed it’s runtime, .NET Core binary compiled with AOT embed the CLR but, unlike Go, it

I did but I’m not a scientist and I don’t know how to interpret the full study either. I’m asking a legitimate question based on the abstract. I’m trying to understand something and I get downvoted instead. What happened to this community?

If we consider that most people are possibly deficient in Vitamin D, then it’s not surprising to see. That really doesn’t tell us anything. Or do I misunderstand? Also by curiosity, are there any conclusive evidences that supplementing Vita

CBD didn’t do anything for me, even at higher doses. Either most reported experiences are placebo, or I’m just not sensitive to it.

I doubt the quality of the studies. Also on my first hit “although this is not consistently replicated”. Google is one thing, reading and interpreting the papers is another. What matters to me is that I feel great, regardless.

Anecdotal, but since I moved to Canada I enjoyed the legality of cannabis (thank you SQDC) and started to dose THC oil before bed and it solved most of my sleep issues (used to have insomnia). Every morning I wake up relaxed, refreshed and

One thing I particularly appreciate from Udemy compared to other platforms is that there are many great (and not so great) courses covering obscure topics that are not available in Coursera, Edx, etc.

Sugar alcohols are not artificial sweeteners. Some, like erythritol, are a byproduct of fermentation. They usually don't "count" as carbs because they are not fully digested. They act more like fibers.

Doesn’t surprise me considering their POS systems have regular users (employees) as local admins.

So when I moved to Montreal in 2016 I bought a 2 floors condo built before the new law was passed (2005 I believe). Above the second floor it had gravel roof I think, I’m not sure what it was but it was very hot in the summer (not so much o

It has been a requirement in Montreal for all new roofing for a few years now. Either green (vegetated) or light (with a solar reflection material). So most people have white elastomer roofs installed. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I

From Toronto but live in Montreal. Rents in Montreal are going up but still no where near Toronto level. Cost of living is lower too on many levels. Of course it depends on the area but generally it's reasonable. You can live pretty co

When I was at Canonical back in 2007-2008, we were mostly communicating using email and IRC. I had to adapt but ended up finding it very productive.

I did try with Plasma on both Kubuntu and Arch at 1.2 and in both cases some controls had very ugly and/or blurry fonts and some were fine. The inconsistencies were too annoying.

Nah it's too big on a 28" 4k, trust me I tried everything before going back to Windows, even using Gnome Shell (which I despise) and experimental fractional scaling (which barely works, freezes and scales back to 100% randomly)

So was I until I switch to a 4k monitor and realize that there's no real, stable, functional fractional scaling on Linux, even less so on XFCE, unfortunately.

Similar here, from Quebec but worked in Milan for a while. I got prepaid plans in Milan for the equivalent of $29 CAD for 80GB of mobile data. It reminded me of how fucked up the market is back home.

RequestMap does all of this, even more. Why reinventing the wheel? I really appreciate what CIRCL does for the infosec world with MISP but they should focus on fixing all the issues with MISP and AIL (especially AIL) and cleaning their code
