It needn't be a motor , it could be a solenoid - magnet combo configured to repel , with a microcontroller that varies the current position dependantly to immitate any profile one wants

Wont the stiffness and amount of tissue around the vessels change that ? And thus won't it be different from person to person not because the blood has a different pressure but because of the way we are measuring it.

I don't see how a passive scan like this can be harmful . Ofcourse if it does show a positive one should confirm further with a biopsy or other standard confirmation diagnostic. As for false negatives... If you feel something is wrong

Depends on the adaptor too. Cheap ones only have Rx and TX pins . The rest of the pins are not connected. If your device only used Rx and Tx it would work fine . If it uses functionality of other pins make sure you get the right adaptor
