That was incredible. Every combination hypothesized, then experimented with, ending with an intuitive explanation.

But then you end up with code sprints solely to optimize resource usage, handled by programmers that didn't code the original module(s). Inefficiencies get layered over inefficiencies.

I can't tell if you are being serious. RAM prices have plateaued due to production shortages in the past few years, and many (high-volume) $200 laptops/Chromebooks do not come with 8GB of RAM.

Was considering doing this since they prohibit iframe embedding via a sameorigin requirement.

I didn't know this was possible. How does it work with SSO authentication? I suppose enterprises can force display names?

Except your backup is now on-site, has no redundancy and has poor accessibility outside the home network. Geographical redundancy and low-latency data transport are nontrivial factors in pricing cloud storage.

It does seem a little odd that every comment about Rust gushes about its progress and stability without discussing any downsides. One would be similarly suspicious if, e.g., Perl6 were discussed this way.

I think they serve orthogonal purposes (task-tracking vs Kanban project management). There is heavy overlap between them, and you can certainly use one over the other, but their original intent is clear.

Your comment makes me think your workflow has become dogma. Does expecting new hires to hew so closely to existing principles give your team room to evolve?

Then keep the app in the browser. There is no user-benefit to requiring installation of Uber or Tinder. Hard for companies to give up that juicy user monitoring, though.

Completely agree. The mantle of _engineer_ is not passed on simply via a job title. Responsible engineers (i.e., those that I aspire to emulate) seem to spend non-trivial amounts of time predicting and avoiding potential-negative outcomes.
