A centralized goverment is one mechanism of enforcement yes. No reason there can't be others. One that doesn't require blind faith/trust. Arguably police are decentralized mechanisms of enforcement, no reason to formalize tha

There can be mechanisims for recovery. Social recovery wallets, multi-sign wallets, DAOs all can be part of the solution to loss of keys. The question really is: is this all necessary? And are inefficencies/issues/costs with curre

Stores aren't a great example. Let's take houses, where the buyer and seller both need a title company to validate and transfer ownership. This process is extremely inefficent, and costly. It's pretty reasonable to imagine a

You can't compare stats unfortunatly. Every state had different policies. In Florida, where a vast amount of people go to vacation, out of town covid cases were not counted.

To add to this, looking strictly at deaths, neglects the long term affects and people with severe but none-fatal cases. Not to mention the capacity issues associated with Covid. "cAsE fAtAliTy rAtE iS oNlY 1%" is a horrible metric

The difference with COD skins being in-game vs on a blockchain is not only can you associate a universal identity to them (your wallet address), but anyone can see and trade for them anywhere. Maybe not the best example, but if you generali

Your argument is: don't use the internet because electric utility providers are profiting off you.

Very actual real utility here? What's utility to you? Is buying a in-game COD skin utility? Or how about roblox bucks? How about the trillion dollar derivatives market? All those things easily disrupted by DeFi.

There's no "integration" code-once your token is on the blockchain if can be traded on uni once there's enough liquidity. Using the network is not "skimming" transactions.

What do you expect from Big Tech engineers? Honestly most peoples livelihoods are generated by working on extremely centralised, monopolistic services.

To call this a ponzi scheme is pretty disingenious, probably great for views/clicks though. At the core a ponzi relies on guaranteed return, paid for by other investors. Just because you might not like or understand how something works

Services on a public good, are different than a public good. The blockchain is a public good, the cost to use it is the gas cost. DEXs are a service, the cost to use them is the gas cost + fee. Investors who invested in the DEX, and made mo

You can host on IPFS and there would be no way to stop the service. Just the routing to it perhaps. But you can go a step further and use a ENS domain and point it to your IPFS site. Truly permisionless and decentralized.
