Right now the only categories where they give you your percentage and paint your genome accordingly are European, Asian, and African. The cool thing about 23andme though is that they're always rolling out new stuff. There is a separate, mor

It may be annoying to have to go into your email to confirm, but as someone who has her first name @ gmail.com, I'm very thankful for it. I get people signing up for random crap with my e-mail all the time; without e-mail account confirmat

Well I think the problem is the way the job market has changed, not the way that the curricula have changed; they've remained remarkably static. It used to be that if you had a college degree in something you could get an entry level posit

The consequences are that if you don't understand this and drop out of school to become a programming rockstar, you might be in rough shape... which I believe was the point of the article.

I found all of it interesting, but I'm a bio geek. I'm also planning to have kids with my fiancé so it's also cool because of that. Some highlights: Both my fiancé and I are carriers for a mild form of Hemochromatosis, so we have a 1/4 cha

If you're losing money on your books you're doing it wrong. With self-publishing companies like lulu.com and the negligible costs of selling e-books on the Nook there's no reason to have negative costs ... unless you're so caught up in i

I think this is exactly the kind of situation where the Golden Rule fails hardcore. If I think about it in that manner, I think "I'd want the hell out!" Who I am and how I would want people to treat me is largely shaped by the culture

As someone who has actually done porn, I can confirm this. It optimistically works out to more like 200 an hour (for women), or at least that's how it was about 5 years ago. Obviously rates varied based on how rich the company was, but you

There are currently successful services like that. I really don't think that's that big of a deal. There are triggers for that sort of thing everywhere; clothes you bought already, other people's babies, etc.

You might want to think about a "size" field for clothing, maybe even a drop-down, or allow people to ask for 1 of each size or something. This is a general complaint I have about wishlists. In my fantasy world of wishlists there would be
