I'm not sure at all. You should have said it was the subject GRE in the original post! I was talking about the section on the regular GRE. I took the biology subject GRE, and tanked it. So I can't be much help here.

Yes. It's super easy- a 780 is 90th percentile, and an 800 is 94th percentile. The best thing you really can do are practice tests. Just to warn you though, the Kaplan etc. pre-tests are actually much more difficult than their regular pra

Rather than extending maternity leave, I would favour extending it as parental leave and making it exchangeable between both parents, however they like. This is done in some fields already, like academia, where both parents can elect to t

People are individuals, but there are things which hold true, on average, between certain populations. It's not a contradiction, it's called outliers... or even 1/10th a standard dev, depending on how close the means are.

Why would they want a double-blind marking system? It looks bad if you admit a bunch of black students and then fail a large number of them.

A student who has learned nothing will not receive an F because the professor doesn't want to admit that his teaching hasn't been compelling and/or effective. That's not true. Professors would love to fail more students. But if you do,

Being not-so-nice can definitely be a symptom of playing well with others. The stereotype of the "popular" kids in high school is that they're jerks. And yet, they're considered the ones with the best social skills!
