The TURD acronym (Truncate, Update, Read, Delete) will become popular for taking anything human made, removing all the actual human part, consuming, and then dumping.

Even muli-billionaires often don't have a direct controlling interest. Sometimes have special shares that give them 10x votes like Larry and Sergey. Bezos, Zuck, and Musk have significant direct amounts of their companies. The list a

Was actually looking for somebody mentioning this bit. Admittedly, one of the few regular Firefox users. Yet, as a regular Firefox user, this much ranting about something that can be turned off with a click, is kind of annoying. The stuf

Was curious whether the Zero Width Joiner was ad-hoc with anything provided, or a long list of specific combinations. Turned out it was specific combinations, and the list is rather impressive. [1] https://unicode.org/emoji

Glad it helped. One other thing, probably need a way to skip the demo on your site. Kind of silly to ask, "would you like a demo?" and there's no way to refuse.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Why does a dirtbike anti-theft tracker care about time-windows and that high priority tasks? Actually, what kind of stuff other than the stock market actually cares that much about strict determinism and task pr

Cool, thanks for the clarification. The Wiki article was kind of confusing and seemed to refer to a bunch of topics from back in the tape punching days.

It does not need to survive the direct impact of the thermite, it just needs to self extinguish and not light large areas of the mesh on fire. A couple foot size holes don't matter much in miles of mesh.

Implement them like the iPod used to implement playlists. There's no playlist bars, tabs, UI, or other clutter. You just had a default list you were working on, and anything you added got added to it. Except for the constant glitchin

Calling this a water cult as the primary focus of the article seems a little extreme. A much easier explanation for most of the features of the stones is that they're primarily functional for a herding / livestock based society. -

Everything about this $70,000,000,000 number is difficult to believe. Even at Meta's nonsensical pay scales of ~$250,000, $15B a year is still like 60,000 employees working all year long. 60,000 employees at 2000 hours (gov FYE) and t

Somebody had PC Part Picker [1] on a different thread. Found it kind of helpful. 3x, 3.5x, and 4x is relatively common across most memory types. DDR4-3200 2x32GB is one of the few that appears to have flattened slightly at 2.5x, although
